What is the AMH Test?

Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) is the best marker of ovarian reserve — how many eggs you have remaining. Unlike FSH and estradiol which fluctuate during the menstrual cycle, AMH remains relatively stable throughout the cycle, making it convenient to test any day. Low AMH indicates diminished ovarian reserve.

Why Should You Take This Test?

AMH predicts response to ovarian stimulation and remaining egg pool. Low AMH suggests diminished reserve; high AMH is common in PCOS.

Who Should Get Tested?

Planning Pregnancy After 30

AMH helps assess remaining fertility window.

Before IVF

Predicts ovarian response to stimulation.

PCOD Patients

AMH is typically elevated in PCOD.

Considering Egg Freezing

Assesses how many eggs can be retrieved.
