What is the MP Smear Test?
The Malaria test detects malarial parasites (Plasmodium species) in your blood. It includes both rapid antigen detection (quick results) and peripheral smear examination (microscopic visualization of parasites). Malaria is caused by mosquito bites and requires prompt treatment to prevent serious complications.
Why Should You Take This Test?
Malaria remains common in many parts of India. Species identification guides treatment—P. falciparum requires urgent care; P. vivax needs primaquine for relapse prevention.
