What is the RA Factor Test?
Rheumatoid Factor (RF) is an autoimmune marker commonly associated with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). It detects antibodies that attack your own joint tissues. While highly suggestive, RF alone doesn't confirm RA — it needs to be interpreted alongside symptoms, Anti-CCP, and imaging.
Why Should You Take This Test?
With clinical findings and Anti-CCP, supports RA diagnosis. Negative RF does not rule out RA—seronegative RA exists.
Who Should Get Tested?
Joint Pain and Stiffness
Especially morning stiffness lasting >30 minutes.
Symmetrical Joint Swelling
Classic RA pattern — both hands, both wrists.
Suspected Autoimmune Disease
RF is elevated in several autoimmune conditions.
